Wheels

The wheels that came with the car were Collectors Edition (CE). I had no idea of the value. Evidently the center caps were or are hard to come by which makes them expensive.

I wanted a little smoother look than the stock wheel with finned center caps. I purchased some of fake knock off spinner caps. Unfortunately the center ring that came with them would not fit a CE wheel. A buddy cut some rings from raw aluminum plate. This would fill the gap between the wheel fins and the spinner mounting hub. Many, many, many hours of polishing later you can see yourself in them. A chrome molding was installed around the edge of the rings to complete the look. A large rubber O-ring was put in place under the spinner before it was tightened down. This keeps the aluminum ring from moving. The photo pages shows an overall side view.
