Fuse Panels

The addition of numerous add on electrical components called for some more/better circuit protection. Not only for the sake of more amperage but also to make servicing a bit easier.

The sadist engineer who decided on the location for the main fuse box is probably ecstatic over the numerous dislocated spinal discs and wrenched shoulders resulting from trying to access the fuse box. I broke the power seat control panel box trying to get in there. For those of you that don't know it is located left of the steering column on the firewall.

The Original

For those taking notes this is the standard layout.

CTSY-CLK = Clock, Lighter, Courtesy Lights, Glove Box, Dome, Power Antenna, A/C Compressor, Power Door Locks

INST LPS = Instrument Lights

RADIO = Radio, Power Antenna, Anti-Theft Module, Electric Mirrors

TAIL LP = Tail Lights, Side Marker, Parking Lights, Underhood Light

STOP-HAZ = Key Warning Buzzer, Horn Relay

GAGES = Gages, Telltale Lights, Seat Belt Buzzer, A/C Compressor, Defogger Switch Circuit

INJ1 and INJ2 = Fuel Injectors ELEC-FAN - Auxiliary Radiator Fan

THEFT = Anti-Theft Circuit

CRANK = Computer Command Control Circuit Crank Input

The Other Fuse Box

This panel was added in the battery box. It provides six additional fused circuits. The source power is from the alternator feed wire to the battery.
Circuit Use:
Two for the SPAL electric radiator fans.
 One for the stereo amplifier.
 One for the aftermarket alarm.
 One for the driving lights.
 One for future use.
